Boston's Pedroia leaves game after fouling ball off foot

Pedroia was examined by an athletic trainer and manager Terry Francona, but finished the at-bat, drawing a leadoff walk from the Giants' Jonathan Sanchez.

Mike Cameron entered as a pinch-runner, while Bill Hall shifted from right field to second base when the Red Sox took the field in the bottom of the inning.

Pedroia was coming off a career performance in Thursday's 13-11, 10-inning win at Colorado. He went 5-for-5 with a career-high three home runs, including the go-ahead two-run blast in the 10th.
